Outside the Walls
Pack'd With Hope

Through their first experience in Foster Care, Pastor Brian and Sheli's hearts were broken when God placed a set of siblings aged ten months, two and three years old into their care. With only a plastic grocery sack of mismatched belongings and one filthy wet blanket, three weary and fearful babies, one with wide, distrusting eyes and the other two with their eyes clamped tightly closed sat silently as they were driven to their next temporary foster home.

After sifting through their meager belongings and realizing they, themselves, as foster parents, were totally unprepared to provide for the immediate needs of three different aged children, the Lord began to plant a dream in Sheli's heart.

From a plastic grocery sack God revealed His heart to "care for the orphans". Not just the children placed into the Correll's care but as an outreach for children newly coming into the Foster Care system. Within months the ministry grew beyond the Foster Care system and Pack'd With Hope was reaching out to refugees, homeless teenagers and adults and children of single parents.

To some, a bag stuffed with a toothbrush, baby bottle, blanket, toys, crayons, coloring book, socks, hygiene items etc., may not seem like a ministry, but to the recipients it represents Hope. We have witnessed even the youngest children, upon receiving a Pack'd With Hope bag, holding tightly to it once they realize that it is truly theirs. Possibly, as one who has not been a foster child, it is hard to grasp how a simple bag can mean so much. We don't have to understand, we simply have to be obedient and help meet the need.

Please contact us if you'd like more information on Pack'd With Hope or if you'd like to donate a bag or items to go inside.

"Until every child knows Hope"

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?" Romans 10:14 (NIV)

Volunteering to teach a class, coming together for corporate worship, gleaning from lessons taught by the Pastor and ministering to those within our church Body is how God fills us in order to use us outside the walls of our campus.

God's heart is to draw the lost to Him and for you, as a follower of Christ, to fall deeper in love with Him. Both can, and will happen, when we say yes to serving Him through telling others the Good News of Jesus Christ!

New Beginnings offers many opportunities to love on our Community as well as the surrounding Communities through service projects, Worship & Movie nights, Adopt-A-Block (Dream Center Indy), Mission 28:19, Cityview Ministry, feeding the homeless and much more.

It is through loving others that we show Who Christ is within us. And it is through our testimony that others hear and then believe.

Upon receivng her miraculous healing from cancer, Esther Howard felt an immediate urging in her spirit to reach out to fellow brothers and sisters currently undergoing treatment. Thus, "Esther's Heart" was born. You are invited to join Esther and her team as they distribute bags full of goodies to patients at the Simon Cancer Center. As patients begin sharing their stories, the ministry team has the privelege of forming relationships and pray for each individual. God is doing a "new thing" through this outreach and we'd love for you to be a part of it!
